2026 MGC Membership

To all MGC Current and Future Members
2025 was another very good year for the Men's Golf Club (MGC) at Heritage. We sponsored seven events, culminating in the 3rd Annual MGC Cup competition. The plan for 2026 is to continue with our tournament schedule of seven events, starting with the 4-man Frostbite Scramble on Saturday, February 21st, 2026.

Membership Qualifications

• 18 years old male
• GHIN handicap required
• Handicap must be held at Heritage Golf Club, for both Heritage and non-Heritage members

In addition for 2027: after 2026, the following requirements will be added to the above list.

• Heritage golf membership OR twenty 18-hole rounds at Heritage during 2026

Membership Fees

• $150 per player = $132 dues, $18 HIO insurance
• HIO insurance is paid ONLY for HIO's at Heritage Golf Club, witnessed by at least one other MGC member.

If you are a returning member and wish to change tee boxes for this coming year's tournaments, include that information in the comments with payment. Also, Include your preferred email, and cell phone number if those are changing as well.

Handicap %

• For all MGC tournaments, USGA guidelines will be followed*
  *EXCEPTION - SMMP will be 100%, per USGA, BUT, the maximum number of strokes given or received will be 18 shots.

Tee Box Requirements

• Same as 2025

Tournament Entry fees 

• All ONE DAY tournaments will be $115/$100, Heritage member/non-member.
• All TWO-DAY tournaments will be $180/$150, Heritage member/non-member.
• Carts included for Heritage Members for all events.

Events

1. Frostbite Scramble - Saturday February 21st, 20264
   • 4-person scramble
   • Minimum 30 handicap per team, 1 stroke penalty for each stroke under 30
   • Team Handicaps, A 25%, B 20%, C 15%, D 10%
   • Signups start 1/1/26
2. Single Man Match Play (SMMP), 64 man, April - September, cost $100pp, signups start 2/1/26 100% of handicap differential, up to 18 strokes.
3. Two-Man Match Play (TMMP), 32 teams, April - August, Cost $75pp, $150 per team, signups start 2/1/26 90% handicaps, zero out lowest player and subtract that number from other players.
   • Pairings Party, SMMP & TMMP, Tuesday March 10th, Mackey's Pub
4. Spring Classic, 2-day event, format, Saturday, 2-man best ball, Sunday, Pinehurst/Chapman alternate shot, May 2nd & 3rd, signups start 3/1/26
5. Summer Special, NEW EVENT, format TBD, Saturday August 1st, 2026
6. Fall Classic, 2-day event, multiple formats, September 2026
7. MGC Cup, 3-day event, qualifications* only, October 2026
